Where the fretboard takes you
My guitar lessons emphasise the huge benefits of reading music. The stave is a
collection of lines and spaces. A guitar player needs to feel confident, to feel
comfortable reading and playing the notes placed on the stave.
You must develop the art of communication from brain to fingers and the
fretboard. With practice reading from the stave to the fretboard will get
quicker.
The Music Reader's Toolbox is clear and each page essential. I want you to sight
read music to a professional level in the shortest time possible. To do this you
must learn the fretboard and learn it in a way that will be useful to you.
You must build up your memory.
All the notes on the fretboard don't belong on a piece of paper. They must be
there when you need them.
