Listen as you play
In this, our first example of building a scale, please listen to each sound
when you play them on the guitar.
It might take time for your ear to recognise the difference sounds. If this
is the case don't worry, in time you will.
Knowing the names of the notes on the fretboard helps your brain
remember where the sounds are. One day someone will ask you to play
the melody of a song you know but don't have the music for. Much to
your surprise you will think for a second and play it.
Your brain have a vast capacity to learn new things but it does need all
the help it can get. More practice helps!!
