Creativity – Introduction 2
I'm assuming you have read the previous four sections, therefore you will
understand the logic behind my teaching.
If you haven't, none of what follows will make any sense. You need to read music
efficiently, otherwise your knowledge of scales will be flimsy and, when you look
at a fretboard all you see is frets. I'm afraid, little here will help you.
Although creativity is a natural force, its ability to grow is within the knowledge
available to feed and nurture this wonderful skill.
Many guitarists are wonderfully creative but their limitations are obvious: Songs
with a maximum of five chords. The second album is the same as the first. Guitar
solos are tuneless and instantly forgettable.
