Introduction to the Fretboard

The first section in The Music Reader's Toolbox – Guitar Edition – is the

fretboard.

I believe this is the best place to start. Learning the names of the notes on the

fretboard will help build a bridge to reach your full potential.

Without knowing what it is you are playing you can read music, but can't play

it. Whatever your skill level, experienced guitar player or beginner, all

guitarists need to know the names of the sounds they are playing.

Everything I teach comes from my own experience when I was learning to

play the guitar, and later as a professional guitarist. The knowledge I gained

when I first started finding the notes on the fretboard, all those years ago, is

still with me.
