Naming each note – the alphabet
The sounds are named using the first seven letters of the alphabet.
A – B – C – D – E – F – G
Each letter represents a different sound. The example below shows E – F, they are
two different sounds. Each note is given a name from the alphabet to help find
them on the guitar fretboard.
